Trails and Contours

Cast in lead crystal, 'Trails and Contours' are presented as a series of wall panels and sculptural centrepieces encapsulating textural qualities taken from circular pathways and woodland trails.  Nature's palette - the subtle hues of sunsets and skies, the freshness of Spring and the warmth of Autumn inform the blend of colours used.  Such subtle combinations of colour, contours and undulations convey nature's narrative, expressed through the qualities of lead crystal glass. 
 
Individual moulds are made to create fluid, textural composite shapes which are invested into plaster.  Casting and shaping takes place within a kiln at precise temperatures to achieve textural details and highlight surface qualities and reflections through the glass.
